From athletics to marketing: Keely’s journey to Head of Content at Wigoo

It wasn’t just trophies that athletics brought to Keely Christinne Pinho Rodrigues Medeiros, born in Luziânia, Goiás.
Sports also opened the doors for the next chapter in the professional life of the current Head of Content at the digital marketing agency Wigoo.
For 17 years, she was a professional shot put athlete, becoming Brazilian youth champion, U-23 champion, winner of the 2011 Brazilian Trophy, South American youth vice-champion, finalist at the World Junior Championships in China, and a member of the Brazilian delegation at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Through sports, she became a student-athlete at the University of Florida, living in the United States for five years. She earned a degree in Sports Management with a specialization in Business.
After returning to Brazil, she completed a degree in Business Administration at UNIP, followed by a postgraduate program in Digital Transformation and Leadership at Conquer School.
With this background, she joined Wigoo in 2020 as a senior copywriter. She later moved into project management coordination before establishing herself in the Content area, where she took on the role of Head in 2022.
At Wigoo, Keely has participated in and led projects for major brands in different segments, such as SmartFit, Dasa, Kellogg’s, and Verde Campo, among others.
In this statement, Keely couldn’t help but mention campaigns related to Sports, especially from Nike. She also highlighted the movie Coach Carter, based on the real-life story of basketball coach Ken Carter, who made headlines in 1999 for suspending his undefeated high school team due to poor academic performance.
